The Kano State Fire Service has safeguarded a 52-year-old man, Malam Mohammed Zakiru, from a fallen duplex at Kofar Na’isa Quarters in Kano.
The service Public Relations Officer, Alhaji Saidu Mohammed, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kano that Zakiru was caught in a collapsed building in the early long periods of Thursday.
“We got a distress call today (Thursday) from Musa Muhammed, who lives in the area, at around 6:45a.m that a building had fell.
“On getting the information, we rapidly sent our rescue group and a vehicle to the scene at around 7:20a.m,” he said.
As indicated by him, Zakiru, who sustained genuine wounds, was saved and hurried to Murtala Mohammed Teaching Hospital.
Mohammed prompted the overall population, who live in old houses with splits, to either clear the house or revamp it, especially amid the rainy season to prevent fall.
