Previous commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Sokoto State, Alhaji Manir Dan-Iya has emerges winner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primary race in the state.
According to report, the returning officer, Amb Bashir Yuguda pronounced Dan-Iya, a sole competitor, winner of the race on Sunday in Sokoto after he scored 2,175 votes.
Yuguda stated, “the race was sans hitch, 2,490 agents were screened, out of which Dan-Iya rose win with 2,175 legitimate votes.”
The decision was seen by the previous and the serving Sokoto State governors and PDP presidential aspirants, Alhaji Attahiru Bafarawa and Aminu Tambuwal separately.
Others are Sen. Ibrahim Danbaba, Amb. Abdallah Wali and four house of representative members.
The decision was additionally seen by security agents in the state.
