The presidency has called an online story ‘false news’ that President Buhari’s son Yusuf is said to have been flown from the country early on Thursday morning after being seriously injure in his head in a bike accident.
An online media, TheCable, reported Thursday that Yusuf Buhari had been flown to Germany for a head injury following a road accident on Tuesday night.
“As reported previously by TheCable, he is sent to Germany for specialized care.
“It is said that the family has decided on Germany”.
“He was taken to Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja, in an ambulance with oxygen support
“An orthopedic consultant specializing in cranial trauma was also on the flight to monitor his progress, TheCable reported.
However, Malam Garba Shehu, the president’s special assistant on the Media and Publicity in a text message Thursday in Abuja, said Yusuf was still receiving treatment in a private hospital in Abuja.
It will be remembered that Shehu had confirmed Wednesday in a statement that the son of the president, Yusuf Buhari, involved in a bicycle accident, was in a steady state.
He said Yusuf had the accident Tuesday night around the Gwarimpa region in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
Shehu said Buhari Junior broke a limb and also suffered a head injury as a result of the incident.
“He is in a stable state. He was operated in a clinic in Abuja”.
The President and his wife, Mrs Aisha Muhammadu Buhari are very grateful to Nigerians for their prayers and good wishes for their son,” the presidential spokesman said.
