PDP primary: Aspirant, more than 200 individuals dump party for APDA over supposed burden

More than 200 individuals from the Bayelsa State section of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, including a hopeful from Ogbia, previous president Goodluck Jonathan’s Local Government Area, LGA, have absconded to the Advanced Peoples Democratic Party Alliance, APDA.

The bothered individuals, who challenged on Saturday in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital, shouted out that a disliked applicant and officeholder individual from the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Mietema Obodor, was forced on them by adoptive parents in the committee.

The deserters said their favored contender for Ogbia Constituency 1, Azibataman Johnbull, was unfairly fixed out of the House of Assembly essential decision the PDP composed in Otuoke, Jonathan’s main residence.

They promised to demystify ‘godfatherism’ in the nearby government by supporting their applicant, Johnbull, in APDA to vanquish Obodor, whom they said is the hopeful of the back up parents.

Johnbull, who drove the deserters, depicted Friday primaries of the PDP in Otuoke as the darkest, saying he would actualise his aspiration in APDA.

He expressed, “The fates of our kin and their socio-political and monetary prospects were again attached to the directs, impulses, and eccentricities of back up parents, chose delegates, some of whom are lady friends, natural siblings and sisters of the indicated victor of the primaries.

“The PDP fell into the grave mistake and lost an adequate chance to free our kin from the grasp of these people and their back up parents.

“The gathering rather depended our banner to those, who had reliably attempted to undermine our gathering and the legislature of Governor Seriake Dickson
