Senator representing Kano Central, Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso says he knew about the video which indicated Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State supposedly getting cash from some contractors.
He, in any case, said he did everything conceivable to stop the discharge to the general population yet without much of any result.
Kwankwaso, a previous governor of Kano State, expressed this on a live program on Aminchi FM in Kano.
Senator Kwankwaso said he begged the Publisher of the online daily paper, Daily Nigerian, which discharged the video, yet noticed that they declined to notice his request.
As per him, “I knew about the video cuts before they were discharged to people in general and I argued that they ought not be discharged, but rather they didn’t hear me out.
“I am not upbeat that the video clips were made open since it is a humiliation to the state and its kin, including myself.”
Reports show that Ganduje has since been the subject of a few recordings, which demonstrated him getting wads of US dollars from people accepted to be contractual workers.
No less than six of such recordings have been distributed since the main clip was discharged on October 11
The governor, be that as it may, denied collecting cash from any contractor, portraying it as a determined endeavor to censure his individual.
He later sued the online daily paper for N3 billion, regardless of prior mediation by the House of Assembly that he ought not do as such.
