Edo: 10 dreaded dead, police station burnt in fresh bank robbery

No less than 10 people were executed after a robbery assault on two banks in Igarra, Akoko Edo Local Government Area of Edo, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.

The incident happened at around 5 p.m. at the point when the criminals attacked the community in endeavor to loot the two business banks in the town, slaughtering 10 people, including security officers appended to the banks.

An occupant of the community, Ofei Obende, said the robbers assaulted the police station in the town before assaulting the banks murdering four security men at the bank premises.

The Secretary to the Otaru of Igarra, Chief Folorunsho Dania, affirmed the incident to NAN saying 10 people were dreaded dead and the police station set on fire.

“This is a serious case, outfitted criminals have blockaded Igarra such a significant number of lives murdered, 10 people have been killed.Three individuals were executed and in the banks as well,” he said.

The Police Public Relations Officer in Edo, Chidi Nwabuzor likewise talking on the incident, said information in regards to the assault was as yet crude and that he would discharge subtle elements later.
