Gov. Samuel Ortom of Benue State has formally declared his abdication from the All Progressives Congress, APC.
His abdication was contained in a Statement sent to DAILY POST by his Chief Press Secretary, Tever Akase.
Ortom, as indicated by Akasa, has now joined the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
It had detailed that a coalition of Benue young people, Wednesday morning blocked Governor Ortom from going to a booked gathering with the All Progressives Congress, APC, National initiative in Abuja.
They held notices which read “Ortom don’t return to APC,” “We don’t have land to give for farming,” “APC is Miyetti party,” Our homesteads are not for dairy animals,” You should leave APC,” Ortom is our gathering, ” and “2019: On Ortom we stand.”
The improvement came scarcely nine days after the representative declared that the decision party had given him a red card.
Ortom, who talked through his Chief Press Secretary, Terver Akase, had clarified that, “With respect to party, I’ve been given the red card and I’m currently outside the pitch. Along these lines, on the off chance that I have been given the red card and I’m remaining outside, that implies I’m a liberated person.”
