The Lagos Bureau Office of the Media Trust Ltd (publishers of Daily Trust newspaper titles) has been assumed control by a blend of armed military and police officers.
The security agents had before in the day blockaded and close down the Borno provincial office of the news production before capturing the local manager and a journalist. Additionally, at Daily Trust central command in Abuja, furnished military officers assaulted the premises, trucked away PC framework while holding the staff prisoner.
At about 9pm, it was seen that an aggregate of seven security agents’ vehicles have been positioned inside and outside the Lagos office premises arranged at the Textile Labor House, Acme, Agidingbi, Ikeja.
Of the seven vehicles, two Hilux vans and one Rapid Response Squad (RRS) vehicle were arranged directly before the Bureau office. Four other Hilux vans were arranged at the opposite side of the street, confronting TheNews distributing house, a stone toss from Media Trust office.
Around 15 troopers and cops were seen calculating around the premises as at the time of documenting this report.
