Twenty-three individuals from the Kwara State House of Assembly, KHAS, on Wednesday deserted to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
This is coming scarcely 24 hours after Senate President, Bukola Saraki, and Kwara State Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed declared their exit from the decision party.
Saraki had stated, “I wish to advise Nigerians that after broad conferences, I have chosen to disappear of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Senator Ahmed clarified that his choice took after due conferences with the general population and in light of calls by significant stakeholder group in the state.
The administrators’ abdication was contained in a letter read by the speaker of the state governing body, Rt. Hon. Alli Ahmad, on Wednesday.
Ahmad said that the officials claimed that their turn was educated by factionalization of the ruling party at the local level.
After the letter was perused, all deserting individuals, including the speaker, annexed their marks to the rundown of defectors.
The Speaker stated, “I am so happy leaving the APC today.”
